Early Life
Feina was born into a family of fishermen who all lived together on a ship, sailing along the waters of La Noscea. From a young age, her life revolved around the sea, and so did music—sea shanties, rowing songs, and the natural rolling of the waves were a constant part of Feina's days, shaping her early sense of melody and rhythm. When she was five summers, her family set out on what should’ve been a routine fishing trip... Until a sudden storm hit. The summer sky had blackened, heavy clouds swallowed the sun, the wind howled like a beast, and the ocean waves rose higher than the ship's mast. The damage had wrecked her family's boat, separating them in the chaos.Feina eventually washed up on the shores of Limsa Lominsa, alone, orphaned, and barely conscious. For a time, she had lived on the streets, scrounging up scattered gil and stealing scraps from the Culinarian's Guild whenever she could. On occasion, someone’s compassion would win out, and she’d be given a bed and a roof, though never for long.At six summers, she did not understand the concept of death, only that the sea had separated her from the ones she loved. In her mind, her parents and older sister were still alive, perhaps stranded on some distant shore, waiting for her to find them. Each sunrise brought a tiny spark of hope that she would see them again. But as the days turned into sennights and the sennights into moons, that spark began to flicker. The calls she whispered to the wind went unanswered. No ship appeared on the horizon, no familiar voice reached her ears. Slowly, painfully, she began to understand: her family wasn’t coming back. And in time, she was eventually found and taken in by Thubyrgeim Guldweitzwyn, the acting guildmaster of the Arcanist's Guild, who later discovered her natural talent for magic.Growing up under the guild’s care, Feina learned to survive by practicing the magic that was taught to her. When she wasn’t focused on her magical studies, she would often roam the city, finding joy in watching buskers play music on the streets. In turn, this sparked a desire to play music as well.Feina earned gil by doing odd jobs around the city as well as the Arcanist’s Guild, running errands, cleaning, and helping wherever and whenever she could. For a time, she even worked at the Drowning Wench as a barmaid. After saving up enough coin, she bought a secondhand harp from a street vendor. It was old and a little battered, but it was hers, and in her hands, it sang with new life. During a significant part of her youth, a large portion of her earnings came from busking on the streets, using her music to earn a meager living. After her fourteenth nameday, Feina started taking on missions at the Maelstrom. At first, she started with small errands and support duties that kept her close to the city, but as her skill with a grimoire grew, so did the challenges of her assignments. She found herself on hunts and escort missions, taking on tasks where her spells could turn the tide. Feina used her knowledge of magic to bind foes, shield allies, and strike with precision, proving herself reliable even in the most dangerous situations. Each mission carried an unspoken purpose: to forge the strength she once lacked, and to ensure she would never again be as powerless as the day the storm took everything from her.
Present Day
After years of mercenary work and countless missions, Feina eventually found herself yearning for a different kind of stability—something gentler than battlefields, scars, and contracts. Drawing on her love for simple comforts and the distant memories of laughter shared with her family, she opened up a small café within the home of her own free company, to which she fondly named Mocha & Mug.To her, it was more than just a business. It was a place where people could gather, rest, and feel safe, much like the home she once lost. Where the cold streets and pangs of hunger once defined her days, the warmth of fresh coffee, music, and companionship became her way of building a new kind of strength—one rooted not in survival, but in connection. But even though she spends most of her days tending to the café, Feina hasn’t left her old life entirely behind. She still takes on the occasional mercenary job or hunting contract, both to keep her skills sharp and to help fund the cozy little haven she’s built.

Music on the Streets
One might find Feina on her off days busking in the plazas or near the piers of Limsa Lominsa, playing soft melodies or singing classic sea shanties. She welcomes anyone who stops to listen—or dares to sing along.Survivor of the Sea
A shipwreck stole her family when she was young. Those who’ve also known loss, or who’ve lived their lives by the unforgiving sea, may find a rare kinship with her. Anyone tied to sailors, shipwrecks, or seafaring life might spark Feina's guarded curiosity... or trigger memories she doesn’t often speak of. Some may find her fishing alone, as if trying to reconnect with the ghosts of her past.Every Scar Tells a Story
Feina bears numerous scars across her arms, legs, back, and torso—some faded, others still fresh. She never hides them, though she rarely speaks of how she got them. Were they from monsters, storms, or something darker? Perhaps she’s ready to tell someone… if they ask the right way.Selective Reader
Feina isn’t much of an active reader. Long novels or historical texts tend to lose her interest quickly, but put a grimoire or a music book in her hands, and she’ll read for hours. There’s a certain spark in her eyes when it comes to learning new spells or studying compositions.Sweetness Hard-Earned
Feina runs a cozy café called Mocha & Mug within her free company's house. Travelers and locals alike can find her there, serving coffee, sweets, and treats. She'd be more than happy to talk about it if asked.
If at Mocha & Mug:
The Dartboard
The dartboard hangs proudly on the wall, its darts glued neatly in place. A miniscule sign beneath reads: “For decoration only.” No one seems to know what exactly happened during the supposed 'incident,' but the way the staff go quiet when it’s mentioned suggests it’s a tale worth digging into. The Phonograph
Patrons will often catch a glimpse of Feina staring at the rusty and worse for wear phonograph whenever the needle skips, her ears flattening against her head and her tail twitching in very subtle irritation. She worries about replacing such an antique, though the staff know full-well she could easily afford a newer, sturdier phonograph... but she clings to this one like it owes her money. Being orphaned and dirt poor during her youth left her stubbornly frugal, it seemed. The Song
Patrons will often hear her humming while she works—soft, rhythmic, and almost nostalgic. The melody isn’t familiar; it doesn’t sound like any popular tune or tavern song. It drifts through the café like a memory, gentle but haunting, as if pulled from somewhere long forgotten. The Frame
Some will notice a framed photograph of a plump little duck by the counter. A small, worn plaque on the bottom of the frame reads 'Puddles.' If asked, Feina will launch into a silly retelling of how she saved him from certain death.
